First it was drug testers turning up at Andy Murray's house at some
ungodly hour, now it's 30 Percy Pigs. The sweets, produced by Marks
& Spencer, are one of the Scot's favourites, though he was surprised
to see them on his doorstep. </div>

"I think my Mum said something because wherever she goes she always
brings them for me," Murray said. "The door went at about 8.45 last
night. I thought: 'What is that?' It was this big box of Percy Pigs from
a PR lady at Marks & Spencer."<br />

For those unfamiliar with Percy Pigs – two of which are apparently
eaten every second of the day – Murray provided a description. "It's
basically like a pig's head and you have the sweet and it's jelly where
the ears are. Then you have Percy Piglets and Percy and friends and all
that stuff. They have all the different spin-offs."<br />

What had he done with the 30 pigs? "They're just sitting in the
house. I really like them, but I'm being quite strict on my diet in the

I'm referring to the <a href="http://www.chow.com/recipes/10717-arnold-palmer" target="_blank">Arnold Palmer</a>. Not so much the guy as a golfer, but as an iced tea drinker. It is my duty to tell you about this iced tea lemonade concoction just in case, like me, you are a late bloomer, and had no clue about its existence until your dad ordered one at a Cheesecake Factory this one time, and you were like, "Hey, dad, what's that you're drinking?" And he tells you it's an "Arnold Palmer," with a tone that says, <i>"My grown daughter is so strange and doesn't even know what an Arnold Palmer is."</i> So, I drink his, because, duh, he's my dad, so why wouldn't I gulp the drink he just ordered for himself? He then orders another one for himself, with a bit of an attitude I might add. I am too old to be doing these things, apparently. But whatever. Am now a big fan of a good Arnold Palmer. A new competition baking series on CBS! The American Baking
Competition will feature skilled amateur Americans competing in
baking challenges with one ultimately being crowned the winner.</h4>

The 10 bakers were chosen from a nationwide search of amateur
bakers at local casting bake-offs. Proving the joy of baking's broad
appeal, the six female and four male home bakers have varied lives

project manager and a baking enthusiast trying to go pro.</h4>

Each week, The American Baking Competition will feature these
passionate home bakers competing in three unique challenges -
"Signature Bake," "Technical Bake" and "Showstopper Bake." The

challenge will be between the three remaining contestants, one of
whom will go on to be crowned the best amateur baker in America and
win the $250,000 grand prize. The winner will also be awarded a
publishing contract with Simon & Schuster to publish their own

My baking motivation is suffering from an overly-dramatic heat exhaustion I know is really plain laziness. Due to this, I have not tried to bake anything from this book (my local library doesn't have it and I am trying not to spend too much money on books! Argghh. Not easy!) But here is a recipe for a perfectly named treat from this cookbook called <a href="http://www.redbushtea.com/redbush_tea_promotions_7.aspx" target="_blank">Persuasive Fruit Cake</a>. If you are a fan of Mma Ramotswe you will appreciate this cake name completely. You know it is good because Mma Ramotswe would not make anything bad. While focusing on Botswana today, I would like to share a blog with you I have found in my recent online culinary travels. I made a reference to this blog in a recent entry.
