Arnold, Dahling!

I'm referring to the Arnold Palmer.  Not so much the guy as a golfer, but as an iced tea drinker. It is my duty to tell you about this iced tea lemonade concoction just in case, like me, you are a late bloomer, and had no clue about its existence until your dad ordered one at a Cheesecake Factory this one time, and you were like, "Hey, dad, what's that you're drinking?"  And he tells you it's an "Arnold Palmer," with a tone that says, "My grown daughter is so strange and doesn't even know what an Arnold Palmer is."  So, I drink his, because, duh, he's my dad, so why wouldn't I gulp the drink he just ordered for himself?  He then orders another one for himself, with a bit of an attitude I might add.  I am too old to be doing these things, apparently.  But whatever.  Am now a big fan of a good Arnold Palmer.

Ice Cream in Paris

While, I am in HOT Arizona as I write this, I am thinking about ice cream, pretending to be in Paris.  Ahh, Paris.  I have never been there, actually.  But if and when I go, I will be sure to follow the trusty guidelines given by David Lebovitz. Having written his own book on ice cream, The Perfect Scoop, I am confident that his list of Paris Ice Cream Shops is the definitive one.  Check them out here, sweet Bakery Travelers, don't they look beautiful?

Monday Morsel: Refreshing No-Bake

You know, over the summer, pretty much wherever you dwell, it's relatively hot.  If you have a sweet tooth, as I do, any treat that has "no-bake" in its title is on your radar.  Popsugar gets me sometimes. Take a glance through their suggestions, and I'm guessing you will be feeling the same way...they get you, don't they? It's not a bad way to be gotten.

A Honeyed Hello!

Fellow bakery travelers of the world...and of this blog (basically we are one and the same): a honeyed hello! After taking a kind of hiatus from my precious Bakery Traveler world to focus on my often great "day job," I wanted to return to the kind of coffee break only my little blog here provides.  Sit back, relax, and join me as I go on more bakery travels.  I am not sure exactly where I am headed or how or when I will get there, but my compass is set to scrumptious baked goods.

27th Stop: Burkina

26th Stop: Bulgaria

I feel it my duty to share with you wonderful food bloggers out there who represent their countries so beautifully.  So, here, on my 26th stop to Bulgaria, I present you with a recipe for this cake called Negarche Cake (recipe here), from this website called http://bulgarianfood.net/. 

This is just one of those good old traditional family recipes that says more about its homeland than I ever could.
